Overall Community Attitude -

Keep in mind that our purpose is to share, help and support others.

Please be friendly and positive.

Respect the opinions of others and allow them to share them.

Avoid deliberately starting arguments. Naturally we encourage respectful and positive debate.

Please try and give to our community. If you find answers here at The Works , try to help someone else out in return.


General Behaviour -

Do not make posts that include threats, harassment and slander or deliberate insults or name-calling, or other negative remarks about The Works, its moderators and administrators, or your fellow members.

The Works respects other forums because we realise that members of The Works may also be members of other forums, do not try to degrade or discredit other forums, their staff or members.

Do not post pornography or adult content. This also includes images of nudity and links to websites promoting activities such as drug abuse and or any other illegal content that violates the laws of the United Kingdom.

Posts containing content such as lingerie for example are allowed in "General Chat", if you are unsure please provide a warning in the title of your post, for example:

"Post contains content that may offend some individuals"

We want The Works to be open to people of all ages, genders, sexualities and races, so we will delete posts that we consider to be inappropriate or offensive.


Abuse Policy -

1st Offense - A polite private message from a moderator pointing out the forum rules, in addition to the editing or deletion of the post.

2nd Offense - A private message from a moderator pointing out the forum rules, in addition to the editing or deletion of the post and stating a final warning.

3rd Offense - Removal of your account.
Depending on the seriousness of the situation, admin may override these steps and take whatever action deemed appropriate.


Email and Private Messages -

Do not use The Works to spam our members.
We take PM and email abuse very seriously, if you indulge in it, you will be banned along with your IP address.


Spam -

We reserve the right to delete any posts that we consider to be spam.
If we find that you are spamming our community it may lead to the deletion of your posts and the removal of your account.


General -

By joining The Works forum, you agree to abide by the forum rules.

Please report any member whom you feel to be in violation of these rules to a moderator or admin.

While these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.

The Works does not accept any liability whatsoever for the content of comment posts, responsibility rests with the author.

We reserve the right to amend these rules at any time following a review.
